Khajjiar which is a part of the Kalatop wild life Sanctuary  in district Chamba of Himachal Pradesh is one of the very few places on earth which can boast of a threefold eco system – lakes, forests and pastures. Referred to as 'Mini Switzerland of India' Khajjiar is truly a sight to behold. Khajjiar's striking topographical resemblance  with Switzerland it  was named as Mini Switzerland of India and  a sign board is installed in Khajjiar  which shows  the distance of Khajjiar from Bern, the capital of Switzerland.
