The Doyang Hydro Electric Project is a NTPC NEEPCO owned hydro power project situated on the River Doyang, a tributary of the River Brahmaputra located in Wokha district. Owing to the locale of the project with the mighty Doyang River flowing, Doyang Hydro Project is a benchmark tourism spot with many wild animals living nearby in the forest and is a marvellous place to be at with a panoramic view of several villages of Wokha and Mokokchung District. Bird-watchers can visit the site to observe several species of local and migratory birds from this high point.
